Do you want to get absolutely the most out of your engine? Muchboost has a solution for you!

Muchboost IS38 2.0TFSI Hybrid Upgraded Turbocharger with a Custom Compressor Billet Wheel 6+6 or 7+7 blades and Enlarged High-Flow 8 or 9 blade Turbine Wheel (depending on the option). It is based on an original IHI turbocharger, which means that installation is 100% P&P. The turbocharger is meant to work with Audi S3 8V, Seat Leon Cupra, and VW Golf VII GTI/R with the 2.0TFSI 265HP-310HP engines.

The turbo delivers great power characteristics and has something to offer for anyone that’s interested in gaining more power from their daily driver or trying to get maximum performance from their fun weekend car. You don’t have to worry about being taken over anymore.

We have developed 3 modification options that allow you to reach anywhere from 380HP to 550+HP.

MuchBoost IS38 380

Upgraded turbocharger with an estimated ~380HP at the crank. List of modifications:

  • Upgraded journal bearing system that allows the turbo to hold more boost.
MuchBoost IS38 460

Upgraded turbocharger with an estimated ~460HP at the crank @1.6Bar. The bearings are also upgraded with this option. List of modifications:

  • Precisely machined seal plates and compressor housing,
  • More efficient and larger Billet Compressor Wheel 6+6 blades,
  • Enlarged and Lightened High-Flow 8 blade Turbine Wheel,
  • Genuine IHI IS38 compressor housing,
  • Genuine IHI IS38 exhaust manifold,
  • Genuine IHI IS38 bearing housing,
  • Original actuator and diverter valve,
  • The compressor and turbine wheels are balanced separately, and then the whole core is high-speed balanced using VSR balancing machines at speeds similar to the level seen in the vehicle.
Muchboost IS38 500

Upgraded turbocharger with an estimated potential of ~500HP at the crank @2.2Bar. Modifications compared to the 460 option are the same, except:

  • even larger Billet Compressor Wheel,
  • larger 9 blade Turbine Wheel to provide much more flow and lower exhaust temperatures with higher boost,
Example project

One of our clients managed to produce 482HP and 582Nm of torque at the crank with this turbo. The car was also equipped with:

  • Wagner Tuning intercooler
  • Vis motorsport hpfp
  • RacingLine Performance intake
  • SACHS Performance Tuning upgrade clutch
  • Complete Car Service Soest – CCS Motorsport downpipe


Muchboost IS38 550+

Upgraded Turbocharger with an estimated potential of ~550+HP at the crank @ 2.2Bar. Modifications compared to the 500 option are the same except:

  • even larger 7+7 blades Billet Compressor Wheel.
Other Significant Modifications

To fully utilize the potential of this hybrid turbo, we recommend upgrading i.a. fuel, exhaust, cooling systems, and the clutch. Individual ECU remapping is the foundation.
